Keepers Retreat is a luxury glamping site in the heart of North Wales, guided by calm & shaped by nature.

Our vision is to provide the ultimate glamping experience where you can immerse yourself in nature.

We are a family business that is passionate about using local suppliers for things like our Doll’s Kitchen Granola, made down the road in Mold, as well as other local artisanal products which will be a part of your retreat.

Our pods are currently being crafted by owner Jon and we are set to take bookings later this year in October. Who’s excited? We certainly are.

Our Story

Welcome to our little corner of North Wales.

We’re Jon and Katie, and we’re so pleased you’ve found us.

What you’ll discover here is more than a collection of luxury glamping pods. It’s the result of a dream we’ve shared for many years as we wanted to create somewhere truly special.

For as long as we can remember, we’ve talked about creating an experience that was meaningful and unique. A space where you can step away from the demands of everyday life, reconnect with nature, spend uninterrupted time together, and leave feeling refreshed, inspired and closer than when you arrived.

We wanted to create more than just a place to stay. We wanted to create an experience that is rooted in thoughtful luxury, genuine hospitality and the breathtaking beauty of the North Wales countryside.

In March 2026, that dream took its biggest step forward when Jon made the decision to leave the corporate world and dedicate himself fully to bringing our vision to life. It was a leap of faith for both of us, but one we knew was worth taking.

Today, Jon spends his days bringing our vision to life, while Katie continues her career in education. Behind the scenes, we balance family life, keeping everything running smoothly for our three wonderful children, Oliver, Harri and Isabelle, and our loyal four-legged companion, Buddy. Every step of this journey has been made possible by the love, encouragement and support of our whole family.

Every path we lay, every tree we plant, and every finishing touch we choose is guided by one simple vision: to create a peaceful sanctuary where couples can slow down, switch off from the outside world, and simply enjoy being together.

For us, luxury is found in the little things. Peace and quiet. A morning coffee overlooking the countryside. Evenings beneath the stars. Time without distractions. The freedom to slow down and simply enjoy each other’s company.

Our greatest hope is that you’ll leave feeling rested, reconnected, and with memories that stay with you long after you’ve returned home.
